Description
From a tradition in Timor tribal art carving that has been practiced for centuries, these large wall carvings are a true collector’s find. Representing deity figures or spiritual guardians, they are hand whittled in Indonesia from suar wood, with beautifully carved features and elaborate patterns. A whitewash finish accents the patterns and the carvings can either be hung or leaned against a wall – either way they will command attention and are unique and intriguing conversation starters. We come by them from fair trade friends based in Bali, and we’ve discounted a pair as to us, they seem sweetly inseparable!
